You Might Believe in Replacement Theology If…
Replacement Theology teaches that the Church has permanently replaced Israel — and that God’s covenants, land, and kingdom promises no longer apply to the Jewish people.
It’s a doctrinal fraud that:
Calls God a liar
Rewrites Scripture
Strips Israel of her prophetic future
If any of the following sound familiar, it’s time to examine your theology:
⸻
1. You think the Church has always been “true Israel”
…but not one verse in Scripture says this.
Romans 9:3–4 — “They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants…”
Paul never redefines “Israel.” He defends her unique identity and future.
⸻
2. You see “Israel” 73 times in the New Testament… and think “Church”
All 73 references refer to ethnic, national Israel — without exception.
Romans 11:1 — “Has God rejected His people? By no means!”
The Church is never called Israel. The grafted-in do not replace the natural branches (Romans 11:17–18).
⸻
3. You believe the Church now inherits the Abrahamic Covenant
…but the land was promised to Abraham’s physical descendants as an everlasting possession.
Genesis 17:8 — “I will give… all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”
Galatians 3:17 — “The law… does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God.”
⸻
4. You quote Galatians 6:16 to prove the Church is Israel
…but Paul clearly addresses two groups:
“All who walk by this rule” (Gentile believers)
“The Israel of God” (Jewish believers)
To merge them is to ignore the context of Paul’s argument in Romans 9–11.
⸻
5. You think 7+ million Jews in Israel is a geopolitical accident
…but this is a direct fulfillment of prophecy.
Isaiah 11:11 — “The Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover the remnant…”
Ezekiel 36:24 — “I will take you from the nations and gather you…”
Israel’s regathering isn’t random — it’s prophetic.
⸻
6. You spiritualize the land, throne, and prophecies about Israel
…even when the language is unmistakably physical and national.
Amos 9:15 — “I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted…”
Jeremiah 31:10 — “He who scattered Israel will gather him and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.”
Spiritualizing these is not faithfulness — it’s avoidance.
⸻
7. You believe all the promises now belong only to the Church
…but Paul says the covenants and promises still belong to Israel.
Romans 9:4–5 — “To them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants… and the promises.”
Not belonged. Belong. Present tense. Ongoing.
⸻
8. You claim the kingdom is already here in fullness
…but Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Thy kingdom come.”
Acts 1:6–7 — The disciples ask, “Will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
Jesus doesn’t correct them — He confirms its timing is future.
The kingdom is present in mystery (Matthew 13), but its manifestation is future.
⸻
9. You say God is done with Israel
…but God says His covenant with Israel is as fixed as the laws of nature.
Jeremiah 31:36 — “If this fixed order departs… then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.”
God’s promises aren’t breakable — or transferable.
⸻
10. You accuse others of making modern Israel into a golden calf…
…when in reality, it’s a miracle of biblical proportions.
Isaiah 66:8 — “Can a nation be born in a day?”
Ezekiel 36:24 — “I will take you from the nations and gather you…”
Zechariah 8:7–8 — “I will save my people… and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”
⸻
God scattered Israel in judgment — and regathers her in mercy.
He is not finished with His people.
⸻
STAND WITH GOD’S WORD
Believe what God promised — literally
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)
Watch for the return of the King of the Jews — to reign in Zion
