When Will There Be Peace in the Middle East?

When Will There Be Peace in the Middle East?
According to Jesus in Luke 21:24, we are currently living in what He calls “the times of the Gentiles.” This is a period marked by Jerusalem being trampled by Gentile powers, which began with the Babylonian destruction and exile in 586 BC. Ever since, Jerusalem has remained under Gentile influence to varying degrees.
But this era has a divine expiration date.
Daniel’s Vision of Gentile Domination
The prophet Daniel also foresaw this same time period in chapters 2 and 7. He describes four successive Gentile empires, depicted as terrifying beasts (Dan. 7), who dominate Jerusalem and oppress God’s people.
Yet Daniel, like Jesus, affirms that this age of Gentile domination will not last forever.
The End of Gentile Rule — Daniel's dramatic and decisive ending
A divine stone (Dan. 2:34-35) smashes the statue representing Gentile empires. This divine stone is the the Messianic Kingdom—a kingdom that:
Destroys all former Gentile kingdoms
Is led by a Jewish King
Is ruled from Zion, not Rome, Babylon, or some other city.
Although centered in Zion, the King's rule extends over the whole earth.
Fulfills God's good promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their offspring.
All, Jewish or Gentile, who know the King will be present in His kingdom.
Brings lasting peace, justice, and prosperity (Isaiah 2; Psalm 2; Matt. 25:31)
Is when true shalom will come—not only to the Middle East, but to the whole world (Isaiah 11:9).
Important Note:
The Messianic Kingdom Will Be A Literal Kingdom on Earth, just as the Gentile kingdoms described by Daniel were literal, earthly kingdoms (Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome), so it logically follows that the 5th kingdom, the Messianic Kingdom, will also be a literal kingdom on earth.
The King is coming to restore and rule His kingdom.
Are You Ready?
“I continued watching in the night visions, and I saw One like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven.
He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before Him. He was given authority to rule, and glory, and a kingdom; so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.”
— Daniel 7:13–14
