What If Passover Points to the End Times?
What If Passover Points to the End Times?
Passover isn’t just a memory—it’s a model. It foreshadows a future deliverance greater than the Exodus.
As God delivered Israel from Egypt, so He will again deliver Israel from the nations.
Just as blood on the doorposts spared Israel from judgment, only the blood of the Lamb will save from the wrath to come.
“When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” —Exodus 12:13
Jesus is our Passover Lamb.
“Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” —1 Corinthians 5:7
He was crucified during Passover—not by chance, but by divine design. He died as the Lamb so He could return as the Lion.
The Passover meal points to a future feast.
At the Last Supper—a Passover meal—Jesus said:
“I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” —Matthew 26:29
This was not goodbye—it was a promise. The next cup is at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9), where the Bride (the Church) celebrates with the Bridegroom (Christ) after the rapture and the judgment of Babylon.
The coming judgments echo the plagues of Egypt.
God told Pharaoh: “Let My people go.” He will again say it to the rulers of this world. See Revelation’s trumpet and bowl judgments—like the plagues but global in scale.
End-time deliverance will be even greater than the first Exodus:
“It shall no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ but… ‘out of the north country and out of all the countries.’” —Jeremiah 16:14–15
This is a Second Exodus, and it’s coming soon. Let’s also pray for the 59 remaining Jewish hostages still in Gaza!
A place of refuge for the remnant:
Just as God sheltered His people during Passover, He will again hide the believing remnant during the Tribulation.
“She was given the two wings of the great eagle… into the wilderness.” —Revelation 12:14
A coming celebration for the redeemed:
The Passover meal was eaten in haste, shoes on, staff in hand—because redemption was at the door.
So too, we eat the bread and drink the cup “until He comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26), awaiting the ultimate feast—“Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” —Revelation 19:9
