The Serpent’s Lies: Alive and Well Today
From the very beginning, Satan’s deception has followed the same pattern: distort God’s truth, deny judgment, and promise false godhood. The same lies that led to the Fall are now fueling the rebellion of our age—corrupting society, deceiving the church, and preparing the world for the Antichrist.
1. “Did God actually say…?” (Genesis 3:1) → ATTACKS ON GOD’S WORD & IDENTITY
Satan first planted doubt in God’s Word, and today, that attack is relentless:
The world redefines identity, detaching it from God’s design.
Gender confusion and self-identification are exalted as truth.
Even in the church, “finding yourself” replaces knowing Christ.
But our identity is not self-created—it is given by God. He made us male and female (Genesis 1:27), called us to holiness (1 Peter 1:16), and gave us a new identity in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The enemy seeks to erase that identity, because a world that forgets who it belongs to will easily bow to the Beast.
2. “You will not surely die.” (Genesis 3:4) → DENIAL OF JUDGMENT
The world preaches that sin has no consequences, and the church is falling for it:
Hell is dismissed as a “metaphor.”
Judgment is ignored in favor of “love.”
The fear of God is replaced with self-help sermons.
But sin brings death (Romans 6:23), and God’s judgment is real. The world will not escape the coming wrath (Revelation 6:17), yet many refuse to warn the lost! Where are the watchmen?
3. “You will be like God.” (Genesis 3:5) → HUMANISM & SELF-DEIFICATION
This is Satan’s ultimate deception—man as his own god:
New Age mysticism preaches self-enlightenment.
Transhumanism seeks to “evolve” past our limitations.
The Antichrist will exalt himself as God (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
Even in the church, self-worship has crept in:
Worship is now about “experience” instead of reverence.
Sermons focus on “your destiny” instead of God’s glory.
Prayer is treated as a manifestation tool instead of submission to God.
THE STAGE IS BEING SET
These lies are not random—they are preparing the world for the Antichrist. A world that rejects truth, denies judgment, and worships self will embrace him with open arms.
But where are the watchmen?
Where are those who will stand on the wall and sound the alarm? (Ezekiel 33:7)
Stand firm in God’s Word, without compromise.
Warn the lost of coming judgment.
Preach the true gospel, not a self-centered one.
Expose the deception infiltrating the church.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)
The time is short. The deception is growing. Will you be a watchman?
