The Nephilim

The Nephilim Satan’s Plan to Corrupt Humanity and Their End-Times Resurgence The Nephilim, mentioned in Genesis 6:1-4, were the offspring of fallen angels and human women, forming a hybrid race that contributed to the world’s extreme wickedness before the Flood. This appears to have been part of Satan’s attempt to corrupt humanity and prevent the coming of the Messiah. Jesus’ reference to the Days of Noah in Matthew 24:37 suggests that similar events may occur in the last days. The Genesis 6 Account and the Watchers The “sons of God” (בְּנֵי־הָאֱלֹהִים, benei ha-Elohim) in Genesis 6 are widely interpreted as fallen angels who fathered the Nephilim (נְפִלִים, “fallen ones”). This unnatural union seems to have triggered God’s judgment. Extra-Biblical Support: The Book of Enoch 1 Enoch expands on Genesis 6, describing the Watchers, a group of fallen angels, who descended to earth and fathered the Nephilim: “And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells. They consumed all the acquisitions of men, and when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.” (1 Enoch 7:2-4) Jude 6 and 2 Peter 2:4 confirm that these angels were bound in darkness for their transgression. Post-Flood Nephilim? Despite the Flood, Genesis 6:4 states the Nephilim existed “and also afterward.” The spies in Numbers 13:33 reported seeing Nephilim in Canaan, with tribes such as the Anakim in Deuteronomy 2:10-11 and the Rephaim in Deuteronomy 3:11. Even Goliath of Gath in 1 Samuel 17:4 was among the last of these giants. End-Times Parallels: The Days of Noah Jesus warned, “As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37). The days of Noah were marked by: •Corruption and violence (Genesis 6:11-13) •Fallen angelic activity (Genesis 6:1-4) •Divine judgment (Genesis 6:17) Could fallen angels again attempt to corrupt humanity? •Daniel 2:43 – “They will mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they will not adhere.” •Revelation 9:1-11 – The Abyss opens, releasing terrifying beings. •2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 – The Antichrist’s rise comes with “false signs and wonders.” The Nephilim were part of Satan’s plan to corrupt humanity before the Flood. Jesus warned of a return to similar conditions in the last days. Whether through genetic manipulation, transhumanism, or supernatural deception, the world is being prepared for a great end-times delusion, as 2 Thessalonians 2:11 states, “Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false.” Yet, just as God preserved Noah, he will preserve his faithful remnant, as Luke 21:36 reminds us, “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:22)
