THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM When Peace Comes Through Fire—and the King Reigns in Power The Millennial Kingdom is not the gentle dawn of utopia—it is the divine aftermath of wrath. It begins only after global judgment, demonic deception, and the visible return of Jesus Christ in glory and vengeance (Revelation 19:11–21). This 1,000-year reign will be the most dramatic reversal in human history. “They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” – Revelation 20:4▶️ The Kingdom Long Foretold From Eden to the prophets, from the Psalms to the Apostles—this Kingdom has been anticipated for thousands of years. •Isaiah 9:6–7 – “Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end” •Amos 9:14–15 – Israel restored permanently in the land •Acts 1:6 – “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.” (Romans 8:19–22).▶️ It Begins With Victory Over Darkness Before the Kingdom comes, Satan is violently removed. •Revelation 20:1–3 – Bound in the Abyss for 1,000 years •Revelation 12:9 – “That ancient serpent… who leads the whole world astray” •Revelation 19:20 – The Beast and False Prophet thrown alive into the lake of fire Christ conquers His enemies before He governs His earth. ▶️ King Jesus Reigns from Jerusalem The King doesn’t rule from heaven—He reigns on earth. •Zechariah 14:9 – “The LORD will be king over all the earth” •Isaiah 2:2–4 – The law goes out from Zion •Psalm 2:9 – “You shall break them with a rod of iron” There is peace—but also power. Rebellion is dealt with swiftly (Zechariah 14:17–19). ▶️ Earth Is Restored, But Not Perfected This is not the New Heaven and Earth yet. It’s paradise regained—but not yet glorified. •Isaiah 11:6–9 – Animals dwell peacefully, violence vanishes •Isaiah 65:20 – Long life restored, but death still exists •Ezekiel 47:1–12 – Healing waters flow from the Temple •Micah 4:4 – “None shall make them afraid” The curse is restrained, but not removed—until eternity.▶️ Israel Is Central to God’s Plan Israel is no longer persecuted. She is exalted and honored.Zechariah 8:23 – “Ten men… will grasp the garment of a Jew” •Ezekiel 37:21–28 – The two sticks united, Messiah reigns over them •Romans 11:26 – “All Israel will be saved” The Church reigns with Christ, but Israel is restored on earth.▶️ Who Inhabits the Kingdom? •Glorified Saints – Church-age believers & resurrected martyrs (Revelation 20:4; Jude 14) •Survivors of the Tribulation – Those who trust Christ during the darkest hour (Matthew 25:31–46) •Jewish Remnant – Who call on Yeshua and survive the judgment (Zechariah 12:10) Jesus rules over a mixed population: glorified saints and mortal believers. No goats 🐐initially enter. ▶️ The Great Test: Peace Without Conversion? Even with Satan bound and King Jesus visible, many hearts still resist. •Revelation 20:7–9 – After 1,000 years, Satan is released and leads a global rebellion •Fire falls from heaven and consumes them This final rebellion proves that sin lies not in our environment—but in our hearts. ⸻ ▶️ And Then… EternityRevelation 20:11–15 – The Great White Throne Judgment •Revelation 21–22 – The New Heaven, New Earth, and New Jerusalem •2 Peter 3:13 – “We are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” ⸻ ▶️“The Millennium is God’s answer to the question: Can man be righteous without Satan? Even in the best of worlds, man fails without Christ.”Mark Hitchcock
