The Messiah Revealed in the Tanakh

🌟 The Messiah Revealed in the Tanakh

From Eden to the Mount of Olives, the Hebrew Scriptures whisper, shout, and sing His name. Yeshua is not hidden in the Tanakh — He is the heartbeat of it. ⸻ ▶️ The First Promise Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” •Hebrew: zeraʿ ishah (זֶרַע אִשָּׁה) — “seed of the woman,” a prophetic hint at the virgin birth. •✨ Messiah would be born of a woman, not from man’s seed, crushing Satan at the cross. ⸻ ▶️ The Branch from Jesse Isaiah 11:1 “There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.” •Hebrew: netzer (נֵצֶר) — “branch.” From this word comes Nazareth. •✨ Yeshua of Nazareth is the Branch who brings life from what looked cut off. ⸻ ▶️ Born in Bethlehem, Yet Eternal Micah 5:2 “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah… from you shall come forth for Me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.” •Hebrew: miqqedem mimei ʿolam (מִקֶּדֶם מִימֵי עוֹלָם) — “from eternity past.” •✨ Born in David’s town, yet preexistent — fully God, fully man. ⸻ ▶️ God With Us Isaiah 7:14 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” •Hebrew: ʿalmah (עַלְמָה) — a young woman, here a miraculous virgin conception. •✨ God clothed Himself in flesh — Immanuel (עִמָּנוּאֵל) “God with us.” ⸻ ▶️ Pierced and Forsaken Psalm 22:16–18 “They pierced my hands and feet… they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.” •Hebrew: kaʾari yaday veraglay (כָּאֲרִי יָדַי וְרַגְלָי) — “like a lion, they maul my hands and feet.” Prophetic image of crucifixion centuries before it was invented. •✨ The cross is foreshadowed with chilling accuracy. ⸻ ▶️ The Suffering Servant Isaiah 53:5 “He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities… by His wounds we are healed.” •Hebrew: meḥolal (מְחֹלָל) — “fatally pierced.” •✨ Yeshua bore the wrath of God for our peace. ⸻ ▶️ They Will Look on Him Zechariah 12:10 “They will look on Me, on Him whom they have pierced, and mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son.” •Hebrew: dāqar (דָּקַר) — “thrust through, pierced.” •✨ Israel will one day recognize Yeshua, pierced yet returning in glory. ⸻ ▶️ Resurrection Victory Psalm 16:10 “You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let Your Holy One see corruption.” •Hebrew: ḥasidkha (חֲסִידְךָ) — “Your Holy One.” •✨ Messiah’s resurrection is promised — death could not hold Him. ⸻ ▶️ The Son of Man Reigns Daniel 7:13–14 “Behold, with the clouds of heaven came one like a son of man… to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom.” •Aramaic: bar enash (בַּר אֱנָשׁ) — “Son of Man.” •✨ Yeshua’s favorite title, fulfilled when He returns to rule the nations. ⸻ ▶️ His Feet on the Mount of Olives Zechariah 14:4 “On that day His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives… and the mountain shall split in two.” •✨ Messiah returns bodily to Jerusalem, inaugurating the Kingdom promised to Israel. ⸻ 💡 Rabbinic Expectation Fulfilled Jewish tradition speaks of Mashiach ben Yosef (the suffering servant) and Mashiach ben David (the conquering king). Yeshua fulfills both — first as the Lamb slain, soon as the Lion of Judah reigning. ⸻ 📖 Ed Hindson: “The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed; the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. Both speak of Christ.” ⸻ ⚡Yeshua is not hidden in the Tanakh He is revealed in it. The prophets drew His portrait in advance. The question is not, “Is He there?” The question is, “Will you recognize Him before it’s too late?” “To Him all the prophets bear witness…” (Acts 10:43) ⸻ Hallelujah! The prophetic trail is clear, undeniable, and fulfilled only in Yeshua. ⸻
