Replacement Theology Roots
The idea of being “unhitched”
from the Old Testament (directly echoes Marcionite heresy — an ancient error that sought to sever Christianity from its Jewish roots. That is not biblical. Paul said clearly:
“Do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.”
— Romans 11:18
Biblical Christianity is Judeo-Christian
Christianity doesn’t replace Israel — it’s grafted into Israel’s promises (Romans 11:17). Jesus Himself said:
“Salvation is from the Jews.”
— John 4:22
To reject the “Judeo” in “Judeo-Christian” is to reject the Messiah’s heritage, the Law and the Prophets, and the covenants (Romans 9:4–5).
America’s Founding Was Deeply Jewish-Christian
Many Founding Fathers directly referenced the Hebrew Bible in framing their legal ideas (e.g., Exodus, Deuteronomy, Isaiah).
Harvard and Yale trained ministers in Hebrew.
The Liberty Bell quotes Leviticus 25:10!
The idea that America was only “Christian” and not “Judeo-Christian” often reveals a subtle form of Replacement Theology that disrespects the Jewish people and the God who chose them.
God is not done with Israel. And neither should we be.
“I will bless those who bless you… and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
— Genesis 12:3
