Problems with the Post-Tribulation Rapture

▶️ 1. No Time for the Bema Seat or Marriage Supper Problem: A Posttrib rapture leaves no time for the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) or the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7–9). Clue: The Bride is already dressed in fine linen before Jesus descends in Revelation 19. ⸻ ▶️ 2. U-Turn Rapture is Illogical Problem: If believers rise to meet Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:17) but immediately return to Earth, what’s the point? This “yo-yo” theology lacks scriptural or logical precedent and fails to comfort. ⸻ ▶️ 3. “My Father’s House” Requires a Departure Verse: “In My Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you… I will come again and take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.” – John 14:2–3 Problem: This is a heavenly destination, not an atmospheric greeting. Posttrib allows no time for this promised homecoming. ⸻ ▶️ 4. Removes the “Blessed Hope” Problem: If the Church must endure the Seal, Trumpet, and Bowl judgments, Titus 2:13 becomes a dreaded expectation, not a blessed hope. Cross-reference: 1 Thessalonians 1:10 – “Jesus… delivers us from the wrath to come.” ⸻ ▶️ 5. Destroys Imminence Problem: The early Church lived in expectant hope (Philippians 3:20; James 5:8), not countdown mode. Posttrib demands the Antichrist, Temple, and global catastrophes must occur first, contradicting imminence. ⸻ ▶️ 6. No Mortals Left for the Millennial Kingdom Problem: If every believer is glorified at Christ’s return, who enters the Kingdom in mortal bodies to repopulate the Earth? Verse: “Everyone who survives… shall go up… to worship the King.” – Zechariah 14:16 Conclusion: Posttrib theology erases the necessary remnant of survivors. ⸻ ▶️ 7. The 24 Elders Show the Church Already in Heaven Problem: Revelation 4–5 shows 24 elders crowned, seated, and worshiping before the throne—before the first seal is opened. They represent the church.(Revelation 6). Evidence: •They wear crowns (Greek: stephanos – victor’s crown) •They are seated on thrones, a reward for overcomers (Revelation 3:21) •They sing of being redeemed by Christ’s blood from every nation (Revelation 5:9)
