King Jesus is returning to Jerusalem. Specifically, to the Mount of Olives—the very place He ascended from.
Zechariah 14:4
“On that day His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east…”
This is a literal, physical return to the same mountain He left from after His resurrection.
Acts 1:11–12
“This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way…
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet…”
This fulfills prophecy:
“The Lord will go out and fight against those nations… and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two.” – Zechariah 14:3–4
Jerusalem is the throne of the King.
“At that time they shall call Jerusalem ‘The throne of the LORD’…” – Jeremiah 3:17
“Out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” – Isaiah 2:3
He is not returning to Rome, New York, Mecca, or Salt Lake City.
He’s returning to the heart of God’s covenant—Jerusalem—to reign as King of kings.
