Jerusalem Day!
To My fellow Watchmen On The Wall - It's not easy being a watchmen during these times. May the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit be our guide as we share God's heart for the Jewish people and a biblical perspective in these ever-darkening days! Thanks to everyone for your work, prayers and heart for God's chosen people and city!
As we give Him no rest "until He establishes and makes Jerusalem the praise of the earth", here are 5 verses that regularly encourage me to keep going, despite the fierceness of the battle (Psalm 62:7).
Psalm 132:13-14
“For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home: “This is My resting place forever; I will make My home here because I have desired it.”
Psalm 87:2
"The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said about you, city of God."
Isaiah 62:1
"I will not keep silent because of Zion, and I will not keep still because of Jerusalem, until her righteousness shines like a bright light and her salvation, like a flaming torch."
Zechariah 8:2-3
"The Lord of Hosts says this: I am extremely jealous for Zion; I am jealous for her with great wrath. The Lord says this: “I will return to Zion and live in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, the mountain of the Lord of Hosts, and the Holy Mountain.”
Joel 3:19-21
"Egypt will become desolate, and Edom a desert wasteland, because of the violence done to the people of Judah in whose land they shed innocent blood. But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. I will pardon their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, for the Lord dwells in Zion."
