From Josiah Geoffrey on X.com:
To those who use this strawman argument, I’ll say this as clearly as possible: “Israel is God’s people” ≠ “All Jews go to heaven” Being God’s people means belonging to God, having been called for a specific purpose. It is not directly correlated with salvation. Jews are God’s people in one way, and the Body of Messiah is God’s people in another way. Again, to be clear: Jews being God’s people does not automatically get us to heaven—it’s never worked that way and never will. The only way to the Father is through Yeshua (Joh 14:6), and all who reject Him (including Jews) face eternal judgment and death. BUT, that does not change that we Jews are irrevocably called and beloved by God on account of our forefathers, whom God separated from the other peoples to be His treasured possession, holy nation, and kingdom of priests—thus establishing us as His people forever—so that we can be His servant that brings His light of salvation to all the Gentile nations, blessing all the families of the earth and bringing life from the dead (Rom 11:28-29, Lev 20:26, Exo 19:5-6, 2Sa 7:24, Luk 2:32, Isa 49:3&6, Act 13:47, Gen 12:3, Rom 11:15). So instead of demeaning the God-given calling and chosenness of the Jewish people, try understanding YOUR call of “To the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Rom 1:16) and start reaching Jews with the Good News, so that my people can live up to our calling in Messiah Yeshua as God’s people Israel and start blessing everyone else in return.
