Is King Jesus ruling from Jerusalem today? Satan has been given limited dominion in this current age, but it is only temporary: 1.Ephesians 6:12: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” 2.1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Though Satan prowls like a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8) and is called “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4), his power will ultimately be destroyed. Jesus’ Literal Reign in the Millennial Kingdom King Jesus will return to establish His reign on earth for 1,000 years, ruling from Jerusalem: 1.Revelation 20:4-6: “They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years… Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” 2.Isaiah 9:6-7: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder… Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore.” Truth for today. Satan’s current dominion will end with Christ’s triumphant return. Jesus will reign from Jerusalem during the Millennial Kingdom, fulfilling God’s promises to Israel and demonstrating His perfect justice and righteousness on earth. Maranatha!
