Is the Church Still on Earth During Revelation?
1. The Church (ekklesia) disappears after Revelation 3.
•“Church” is mentioned 19 times in chapters 1–3.
•After Revelation 4:1 (“Come up here!”), it is never mentioned again until the end (Revelation 22:16).
•If the Church were still on earth, it would be mentioned clearly — but it’s not.
2. Tribulation Saints are a different group.
•Revelation 7, 12, and 14 describe people saved during the Tribulation.
•They are called “saints” — just like Old Testament believers were called saints.
•These saints are not the Body of Christ sealed by the Holy Spirit like Church-Age believers (Ephesians 1:13–14).
3. The Promise to the Church is Escape, Not Endurance.
•Jesus promised to keep the Church from the hour of testing (Revelation 3:10).
•Paul said we are not appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9).
•Enduring God’s wrath is never described as the Church’s destiny.
