How Should Christians Treat the Jewish People?
How Should Christians Treat the Jewish People?
With love, honor, and prophetic urgency—
Not with arrogance
Not with silence
Not with replacement theology
⸻
God’s Word Is Unmistakable
“Salvation is from the Jews.” — John 4:22
“I will bless those who bless you…” — Genesis 12:3
“Do not be arrogant toward the branches.” — Romans 11:18
“Through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.” — Romans 11:11
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29
“They are beloved for the sake of their forefathers.” — Romans 11:28
Israel is still chosen
Still beloved
Still central to God’s unfolding plan
⸻
A Wounded History
Many Jews don’t reject Jesus because of the Gospel…
They reject Him because of how Christians have treated them:
Church-sponsored inquisitions
Crusades in the name of Christ
Martin Luther’s antisemitic writings
Holocaust-era silence
Modern Replacement Theology
Instead of provoking jealousy (Romans 11:14), many believers have provoked generational grief.
⸻
What Christians Must Do
Genesis to Revelation commands us to…
Bless them – Genesis 12:3
Comfort them – Isaiah 40:1
Pray for them – Psalm 122:6
Support Jewish ministries – Romans 15:27
Provoke them to jealousy – Romans 11:11
Honor their covenants – Romans 9:4
Reject Replacement Theology – Romans 11:25–28
Recognize their future role – Zechariah 8:23
Anticipate their salvation – Romans 11:26
⸻
Biblical Balance
Some quote Galatians 3:28 and say there’s no Jew or Gentile in Christ.
That’s true regarding salvation—not prophetic identity.
“…the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises.” — Romans 9:4
All of these still belong to Israel.
The Church has not replaced Israel.
We are grafted in—to Israel’s olive tree, not the other way around.
⸻
Prophetic Reality
Israel is not just part of prophecy—
Israel is the epicenter of prophecy.
Ezekiel 36–37 – Regathering to the land
Zechariah 12:10 – They will mourn for the One they pierced
Romans 11:26 – All Israel will be saved
Revelation 7 & 14 – 144,000 sealed from the tribes
Isaiah 2:2–3 / Micah 4:1–2 – Nations flow to Jerusalem
Zechariah 14:4 – Jesus returns to the Mount of Olives
Every prophetic line leads to Jerusalem.
⸻
The Key to Christ’s Return
Jesus Himself said He will not return until Israel welcomes Him.
Matthew 23:37–39
“O Jerusalem… You will not see Me again, until you say,
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’”
Psalm 118:26 – A Messianic greeting
Zechariah 12:10 – They will look on Him whom they pierced
Romans 11:15 – Their acceptance will mean life from the dead
Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai!
Jesus will return when the Jewish remnant calls on Him by name.
⸻
“God doesn’t have grandchildren. Every Jew must come to Christ personally—but they deserve to see Him clearly, not through the fog of Church antisemitism.”
— Adrian Rogers
⸻
What Real Love Looks Like
Love the Jewish people without strings
Stand boldly against antisemitism
Support Messianic ministries:
One for Israel
Jews for Jesus
Life in Messiah
Proclaim the Jewish Messiah clearly
Live in such a way that Israel sees Jesus and says,
“I want what you have.”
Jesus is the Lion of Judah.
He’s returning to Jerusalem, not Rome.
And He will reign as King from Zion.
Let’s live like we believe it.
Let’s love like He commands.
Let’s bless what God blesses.
