Hosea’s Prophetic Timeline In 2 Verses

 👉Hosea’s Prophetic Timeline In 2 Verses 👈

Hosea chapter 3 is a small chapter, containing only 5 verses. But it sure does pack a big, prophetic punch. Consider verses 4 and 5: “For the Israelites must live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, and without ephod or household idols.” Verse 4 describes the current situation since 70 A.D. The Romans destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and no sacrificial system or priesthood has existed since then. Now the hope….verse 5 “Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come with awe to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days.” After the absence of the priesthood and temple, the people of Israel will “return” to seek the Lord. “David their King” is likely a reference to Messiah, as David was already in the grave when Hosea wrote his book. David’s name became synonymous with the Messiah. ⏰ Time Marker ⏰ Notice the time marker of WHEN Israel will “return and seek the Lord”? It happens “in the last days.” This phrase is commonly used to describe the period of time that includes the Tribulation Period and the Millennial Kingdom. This time marker fits with every other time marker in the Scriptures, indicating that Israel will go through a time of trouble (Jer. 30:7) that leads to national regeneration (Jer. 30:19-22). Summary: 1) Israel will be without a sacrificial system for many days. 2) Afterwards they will seek the Lord. 3) This happens in the last days. It’s all right there, in just 2 verses. 👉Study the Word. 👉Believe the Word. 👉Live the Word.
