He is Risen indeed!
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” — Luke 24:5–6
Because Jesus rose from the grave, we have:
Victory over sin — “Death is swallowed up in victory… thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:54–57)
A living hope — “He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3)
The promise of our own resurrection — “If we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.” (Romans 6:8)
A future in glory — “When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:4)
Let the resurrection remind us: the tomb is empty, the throne is occupied, and the King is returning!
