God’s Covenant with Israel is Eternal

▶️ 1. God’s Covenant with Israel is Eternal Genesis 17:7–8 – “And I will establish my covenant between Me and you and your offspring after you… for an everlasting covenant… And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings… for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.” God’s covenant with Abraham and his physical descendants is everlasting. It cannot be nullified, even by disobedience (cf. Romans 11:28–29). ▶️ 2. God Has Not Rejected His People Romans 11:1–2 – “I ask, then, has God rejected His people? By no means!… God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew.” Paul makes it explicit: God has not rejected the Jewish people. The remnant of believing Jews in every generation (Romans 11:5) proves God’s ongoing faithfulness. ▶️ 3. The Whole Nation Is Not Guilty for the Actions of a Few While some Jewish leaders called for Christ’s crucifixion (Matthew 27:25), Jesus Himself prayed: Luke 23:34 – “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” This extends mercy, not a curse. Nowhere in Scripture does it say that God revoked His covenant because of this moment. ▶️ 4. The Jews Today Are Still Loved by God Romans 11:28 – “As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers.” Even in unbelief, Jewish people remain beloved because of God’s unchanging promises. ▶️ 5. God’s Promise of Land Still Stands Ezekiel 37:21–22 – “Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone… and will bring them to their own land.” This prophecy is being fulfilled today. The regathering of the Jewish people is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, not a curse. ⸻ To deny God’s covenant with Israel is to misunderstand God’s nature—He is faithful even when we are not (2 Timothy 2:13). Let us reject antisemitism in all its forms and remember: salvation came through the Jews (John 4:22), and our Messiah is Jewish (Revelation 5:5).
