God Is the Original Zionist
The idea of Zionism didn’t start with Theodor Herzl — it started with God.
He chose Zion:
“For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place.”
— Psalm 132:13 He gave the land to Israel forever:
“I will give to you and to your offspring after you… all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession.”
— Genesis 17:8
He is zealous for Zion:
“Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for Zion, yes, with great wrath I am jealous for her.”
— Zechariah 8:2 He will reign from Zion:
“The LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and forevermore.”
— Micah 4:7 He will return to Zion:
“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the LORD.”
— Zechariah 2:10

God Himself calls Jerusalem “My holy mountain” (Joel 3:17) and swears by it (Matt. 5:35). He’s not done with Israel or Zion — He’s just getting started.
God is the Original Zionist — and He wrote it in Scripture.
