God is the original Zionist
God is the original Zionist.
Zionism, at its core, is the belief that the Jewish people have a God-given right to the land of Israel. That didn’t begin in the 20th century—it began in Genesis.
God gave the land to Abraham and his descendants forever
“To your offspring I will give this land.” – Genesis 12:7
“I will give to you and to your offspring… all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession.” – Genesis 17:8
God Himself chose Zion
“For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: ‘This is My resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.’” – Psalm 132:13–14
God’s covenant with Israel is not conditional on modern repentance
God disciplines His people, yes. But the return to the land is part of His sanctifying process:
“I will take you from the nations and gather you… Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean.” – Ezekiel 36:24–25
God swore by Himself that Israel’s return would happen
“I will plant them in their land, and they shall never again be uprooted.” – Amos 9:15
“He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.” – Jeremiah 31:10
God calls Zion His holy hill
“I have set My King on Zion, My holy hill.” – Psalm 2:6
God is not done with Israel. He is bringing them back to prepare their hearts. The land first, then the spirit. That’s His pattern.
God’s Zionism isn’t about a flag—it’s about a future.
A future where the Messiah will reign from Jerusalem.
“Out of Zion shall go the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” – Isaiah 2:3
