Does History Prove That Dividing Israel Brings Judgment? Throughout history, every time nations have attempted to divide Israel, catastrophic events have followed. Is this just coincidence, or is it the fulfillment of Joel 3:2? “I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land.” Joel 3:2 1. The Jews accepted, but the Arabs rejected it and declared war. •Judgment: May 1948 – Immediately after Israel declared independence, five Arab nations invaded, leading to war and massive casualties. 3. The 1967 Six-Day War & Its Ongoing Consequences •Event: Arab nations, refusing to accept Israel’s existence, planned to attack. Israel launched a preemptive strike and captured Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights. •Judgment: Israel’s victory reshaped the Middle East, leading to decades of terrorism, international condemnation, and continued conflict over land Israel was pressured to give back. 4. The 1991 Madrid Conference & The Perfect Storm (1991) •Event: The U.S. pressured Israel into land-for-peace talks, leading to discussions about giving up parts of Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem. •Judgment: October 30, 1991 – The Perfect Storm, one of the most destructive storms in North Atlantic history, struck the U.S. while President Bush was in Madrid pushing the deal. 5. The 2005 Gaza Disengagement & Hurricane Katrina (2005) •Event: Under U.S. pressure, Israel forcibly evacuated 9,000 Jews from Gaza, handing the land over to Palestinian control. •Judgment: August 23-29, 2005 – Hurricane Katrina struck the U.S., devastating New Orleans, killing over 1,800 people, and causing over $100 billion in damage. Is Judgment Coming Again? With renewed global efforts to divide Israel, are we about to see another act of divine judgment? What do you think?
