Claim: “Jews rejected Christ, so they aren’t worshipping the God of the Bible.”
This claim dangerously oversimplifies the relationship between the Jewish people and God and ignores God’s covenantal faithfulness.
Biblical Truth:
1. God is still the God of Israel.
“I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
“God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew.” (Romans 11:2)
2. Jesus Himself affirmed that the Jews worshipped the true God.
“You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.” (John 4:22)
— Jesus did not say the Jews had turned to a false god.
3. Israel’s current unbelief is temporary.
“A partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved…” (Romans 11:25–26)
4. God’s covenant with Israel is irrevocable.
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)
— Paul explicitly warns Gentile believers not to become arrogant against the “natural branches” (Romans 11:18).
5. Jesus is still called the “King of the Jews.”
Even in His rejection, the Jewish people remain His own (John 1:11).

To say that Jews no longer worship the God of the Bible is both theologically sloppy and spiritually dangerous.
God’s covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has not been nullified by Israel’s temporary rejection of their Messiah—it will be gloriously fulfilled.
