🔥 Can Man Bring in God’s Kingdom?

🔥 Can Man Bring in God’s Kingdom? From Nimrod’s tower to today’s dominionist pulpits, man has always reached for the throne. Post-Millennial Dominionism declares the Church will conquer culture, crush enemies, and hand Christ a finished Kingdom. But Scripture screams the opposite: the Kingdom is not built by man—it is brought by the King. ⸻ ▶️ 1. Dominionism Is Man-Centered Folly Jesus warned: “Apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Paul prophesied: “Evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse” (2 Timothy 3:13). Christ said of the last days: “Lawlessness will be increased, and the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). ⚖️ Logic: If man can establish the Kingdom, Christ’s return is redundant. But the Bible ties the Kingdom’s arrival to His appearing in glory (Matthew 25:31). ⸻ ▶️ 2. Who Brings the Kingdom? •“The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed” (Daniel 2:44). •“One like a son of man… to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom” (Daniel 7:13–14). •“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ” (Revelation 11:15). ✅ Heaven—not men—establishes the Kingdom. ⸻ ▶️ 3. Only the King Can Crush the Serpent •“The whole world lies in the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19). •“The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 4:4). •“He seized the dragon… and bound him” (Revelation 20:2). ⚖️ Logic: Man cannot bind Satan. Christ alone dethrones him at His return. Without the King, there is no Kingdom. ▶️ 4. Israel Anchors God’s Plan Dominionism often erases Israel—but Paul declared: “The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). •“They will look on me, on him whom they have pierced” (Zechariah 12:10). •“Out of Zion shall go the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3). ✅ The Kingdom is Jewish at its center, global in its scope, and future in its fulfillment. ⸻ ▶️ 5. Counterfeit Kingdoms Prepare for Antichrist Every man-made utopia leads to tyranny. •“Let us make a name for ourselves” (Genesis 11:4). •“He shall exalt himself… and speak monstrous things” (Daniel 11:36). •“Authority was given… over every tribe and people” (Revelation 13:7). ⚖️ Logic: A kingdom without Christ is not God’s—it’s Antichrist’s.▶️ 6. Modern Dominionist Voices Doug Wilson: “Men are created to exercise dominion over the earth… equipped to be saviors… lords, husbandmen, saviors, sages, and glory-bearers.” (Future Men) Refutation: There is one Savior (Acts 4:12). To assign salvific roles to men usurps Christ’s crown. Dominion under God’s creation mandate (Genesis 1:28) never meant salvation, lordship, or glory. Those belong to Christ alone. ⸻ Joel Webbon: “We cannot afford to be beautiful losers. … We need to win. I want to win. I want to reward my friends and crush my enemies.” Refutation: Jesus commanded: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). Paul exhorted: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21). The Kingdom advances by the cross, not by crushing. ⸻ ▶️ 7. The True Mandate of the Church •“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). •“Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior” (Philippians 3:20). •“Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of… Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). ✅ The Church’s task is evangelism, discipleship, endurance, and hope—not dominion. ⸻ “The Kingdom is not built by men for Christ—it is given by the Father to Christ. To claim otherwise is to dethrone the King in favor of man.” — Ed Hindson⚔️ Dominionism is folly. It hijacks Christ’s crown, erases Israel’s hope, and sets the stage for Antichrist’s counterfeit. The true Kingdom comes only when the sky splits, the trumpet sounds, and the King of Kings descends in power. “Surely I am coming soon.” (Revelation 22:20)
