ARE WE TO BE SALT & LIGHT, OR TAKE OVER THE WORLD?
Some teach that we must conquer the 7 mountains of influence (government, business, media, arts, family, religion, education) before Jesus returns.
But Scripture never commands us to take dominion over the world’s systems before the King returns.
It commands something far better.

Jesus Told Us to Be Salt and Light
Matthew 5:13–16
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Salt delays decay — it holds back corruption.
Light reveals truth — it shines in darkness.
Jesus did not say, “Take over Babylon.”
He said, “Be faithful witnesses in it.”

Moral Entropy Is the Reality
In physics, entropy is the natural drift toward disorder.
In culture, we see moral entropy — societies sliding deeper into sin, not rising into righteousness.
Romans 1:21–28
“Claiming to be wise, they became fools… Therefore God gave them up…”
This is what we fight with salt and light.
We delay the decay.
We do not reverse the age.

As the world grows darker, it aligns with what Scripture said would happen:
2 Timothy 3:13
“Evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse.”
2 Thessalonians 2:3
“That day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed…”
We are not ushering in utopia. We are awaiting the return of the King.

The Kingdom Comes With the King
Acts 1:6–8
“Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
“It is not for you to know… but you will receive power… and you will be My witnesses…”
Our mission is not dominion.
Our mission is witness.
Revelation 19:11–16 – The Kingdom doesn’t come by the Church taking over.
It comes when the King of kings returns on a white horse to judge and rule.

Let the Church Be the Church
2 Corinthians 10:3–5
“The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh…”
Matthew 28:19–20
“Make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
We don’t need to conquer Hollywood.
We need to be holy.
We don’t need to rule governments.
We need to preach the Gospel until the trumpet sounds.
We are not preparing the earth for the King.
He is preparing a people for Himself (Titus 2:11–13).
Jesus doesn’t return after we win the world.
He alone will establish His Kingdom!
There is no Kingdom without the King. We are not bringing Heaven to earth. 
Be salt.
Shine light.
Be a Watchman for Jesus.
