10 Biblical Reasons Why Christians Should Love Israel
1. Israel Is God’s Chosen Nation
“For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession.” (Deuteronomy 7:6)
God’s election is eternal—He chose Israel for His purposes!
2. The Bible Was Given Through Israel
“Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? Much in every way. To begin with, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God.” (Romans 3:1-2)
Every book of the Bible was written by Jewish hands! (Except maybe Luke)
3. Jesus, Our Savior, Is Jewish
“Salvation is from the Jews.” (John 4:22)
The Messiah came through Israel—without Israel, there is no Gospel!
4. God’s Promises to Israel Are Irrevocable
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)
God has not abandoned Israel and never will!
5. God Commands Us to Bless Israel
“I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse.” (Genesis 12:3)
Loving Israel brings blessing—opposing Israel brings judgment!
6. We Are Grafted Into Israel’s Promises
“Do not be arrogant toward the branches… remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.” (Romans 11:18)
Christianity stands on the foundation of God’s covenants with Israel!
7. Israel’s Survival Is a Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
“Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day… If this fixed order departs from before me… then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.” (Jeremiah 31:35-36)
Israel’s existence today proves God keeps His word!
8. Israel Will One Day Recognize Their Messiah
“And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, ‘The Deliverer will come from Zion.’” (Romans 11:26)
A great national turning to Jesus is prophesied!
9. God Will Reign from Jerusalem in the Millennium
“The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 2:3)
Jesus will reign from Israel in the future!
10. God’s Love for Israel Should Be Our Love Too
“He who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” (Zechariah 2:8)
If Israel is precious to God, they should be precious to us!
Loving Israel is loving God’s plan!
